Kundra is said to lost upto 50 Lakhs plaing bets on IPL matches. Rajasthan team owner Raj Kundra has admitted to betting on IPL matches over the past few seasons and indulged in betting on his own team. Kundra, who was questioned for over 10 hours by the Delhi Police, is said to have admitted to placing bets and has also lost a significant amount of money due to this habit.
Delhi Police commissioner Neeraj Kumar speaking to the press confirmed that the Rajasthan team owner admitted to placing the bets through his bookie friend Umesh Goenka. "He (Kundra) confessed to betting on IPL matches during the investigations.
He admitted that he was into betting, and used to bet on his team and faced a lot of losses. Umesh Goenka was a bookie and he used to place bets through him," Kumar said.
