Preview: T&T up against mighty CSK in must-win game
Chennai will be looking for their 4th straight win in the tournament. A resurgent Trinidad and Tobago will face an uphill task of taming a rampaging Chennai in order to book a semifinal berth when they clash in their Champions League Twenty20 encounter. The Caribbean side, which finished runners up in 2009, faces their toughest test in the league so far against the MS Dhoni-led unit which has already sealed its spot in the final four.
The two-time Indian Premier League Champions will however want to maintain their winning run and go into the knockout stages with 4 consecutive wins under their belts and a confidence that would be sky high. As has been the case over the years, Chennai superb run has been thanks to their batsmen.
M Hussey has, time and again, provided the base for the power packed lower order to take advantage, while Murali Vijay's display in the last game against Brisbane will give the team much to cheer about. Suresh Raina and MS Dhoni form too has been brilliant and the team from Chennai will be confident about their chances.
Add to this the calm and experience of S Badrinath and Dwayne Bravo and the X-factor of Albie Morkel and Ravindra Jadeja and you have very little cause for concern in the batting department. The bowling would be where the worry is, for MS Dhoni and co.
