New Live Music Venue for Harare
Evicted performs at Misty's. October saw the opening of a brand new entertainment venue in Harare, featuring live music on most weekdays, a welcome development in a city where there is only one similar location. While the capital city has a number of venues that have live acts during the weekend, there is only one that serves up this sort of thing on a daily basis, The Book Café.
Misty’s will include mainstream, traditional and contemporary jazz; RnB, fusion, reggae, blues, afro jazz and afro pop – a melting pot of great music, in its line up. Situated at Newlands Shopping Centre (opposite TM) with plenty of easy parking and security, the classy club offers a well stocked bar and wide range of cocktails, with a light snack menu, and opens Tuesdays through Sundays, with live music featured from Wednesday to Sunday each week.
Since the opening night on Friday 11 October, a number of bands have already been featured, including Evicted, Ammara Brown, Jam Signal, Tariro ne Gitare, Cornerstone, Prudence Katomene-Mbofana and Zimboita.... Read the full, comprehensive news article and discuss at ZimboJam
